Rentals and gear
Rent at Mt. Holly on club night, or bring your own.
Renting on club night
- A full rental is skis, boots and poles, or a snowboard and boots.
- A half rental is just skis, just a board, or just boots.
- Helmets are extra. Every student must wear one on the hill, so rent one if you don’t have your own.
- Ask for rentals when you sign up each week, and pay by Thursday at 10 pm.
- This season’s rental, half-rental and helmet prices are on Pricing.
Save your sizes once
Mt. Holly needs each renter’s height, weight and shoe size. Enter them once onRental sizes and we’ll use them every week you rent.
The yearly rental form
Every student who rents needs Mt. Holly’s rental disclaimer, signed by a parent or guardian, once a season. Print the Mt. Holly rental disclaimer (PDF) and bring it to your first club night. The sponsors need one for every student who rents, and the form itself says equipment can’t be rented without it.
Renting for the whole season
If your child will ski most weeks, a season lease from a ski shop can cost less than renting every Friday. Local shops such as Shumaker’s (Flint and Saginaw) and Sun & Snow Sports (Pontiac and Ann Arbor) offer them, and fall ski swaps are a good place to buy used gear. The club isn’t affiliated with any shop.
Looking after your gear
- Never leave skis or a board unattended, even for a moment.
- Mt. Holly’s ski and snowboard corral is free. You get a claim ticket to pick your gear back up.
- Lockers cost 75 cents. If you leave gear somewhere unsecured, bring your own lock.
- Mt. Holly, the club and Marlette Community Schools aren’t responsible for lost or stolen items.
